		<description>iTunes &quot;Show Duplicates&quot; is helpful but it&#039;s too aggressive and doens&#039;t let you adjust the filter.  It only looks for artist+title.  So it doesn&#039;t detect different versions of a song (live-vs-studio, remix, etc).  De-dupulator gives you some options to filter those out by looking at the song length, the album name, etc.

In the case of my personal library, &quot;Show Duplicates&quot; shows about 2,000 duplicates that I don&#039;t consider to be dups.  If iTunes added those options to it&#039;s duplicate filter, there would be no need for de-dupulator.</description>
