Thanks for telling me about the two accounts; that was the problem, and now I have the items purchased from both accounts backed up on my computer.

Does anyone know how to get rid of the “myname@me.com” account?

I had purchased an IPhone, used, it has a lot many apps installed. tried to syn iPhone with iTunes, authorized my iTunes / computer and tried to transfer purchased apps, but failed…. do not know the original purchaser of apps…. need help on;
Without loosing any previous apps (all are free aps) how can i sync my iTunes with iPhone?

Good suggestions here, thanks. It turns out that my iPhone and iPad App Store app defaulted to my @me.com email address, instead of the gmail address it was supposed to use.

I Authorized my computer using the me.com address and password, and it worked. It said I have one computer authorized for this account (as opposed to five for my main account.) I suspect there will be some sort of problem later down the road, as my main gmail identity does not “own” these apps — argh. Oh, and when me.com goes away, there will be other problems. It’s always something.

I have the same thing.. I’m not sure how but the my id on my phone changed to my moblie me … name@me.com and my computer stayed my email address that I set up years ago as my apple id.. So which one should I change. The one on my phone (and how do I do that)

wonder is all this because I still have not upgraded to Lion and Icloud? I have to add memory to my computer in order to do so.. but I have icloud on my phone and ipad.
I’m so frustrated and confused.

Boo, great work, I had 2 emails,one was “@googlemail.com” which I used on iPhone, the other was “‘gmail.com” that I used in iTunes.

I just re-authorised the account on iTunes with the “@googlemail.com” address I use on iPhone and all my purchases transferred fine!

NONE of the help above work for me but I somehow solve the problem.

In your IPHONE…
1) Go to the “App Store”
2) Log in to your Itunes Account
3) Go to “Updates”
4) Go to “Not On This Phone”
5) All programs that you purchased will be listed and just choose the program that you want to Reinstall / Download on your NEW Iphone.
